Getcha Update Here...

This week in class we listened to the groups present on their projects. The first group was Sam, Kaitlyn, and Lukas and they talked about how they are working on a herbal garden for the project. The next group was Kaitlynn and Cat and they talked about their work at the Audobond and how they are excited to see the audobond burn some invasive species that are threatening the area. We then hear a presentation by Jack who was talking about his project doing a farm to table co-op, and I thought that this project was really interesting. We also heard from Gabby and Rebecca about their work with the Newark Science and Sustainability Center. They told us about how they were creating lesson plans and making a workbook to give to students in the area. Also Gabby showed some cool projects that they have posed that students can do. We also got to present about our project. We talked about how we unified our social media by making the images the same, we talked about promoting events at the Pfeiffer Center, and we talked about storage of the biodynamic preps.

It was a very interesting in class and I think its really cool to hear about what all the other groups are doing. All of the groups also got interviewed by the PR student from Seton Hall who is writing about the environmental studies program. I think that its really great that the environmental studies program is being highlighted.

In the upcoming week I am going to go more in depth learning about the calendar and then we will be thinking of how we are going to do planting in the campus garden.
